So, which way does the air go?

This is a rather stupid question regarding Carerra Oil Coolers with a fan. As noted in an earlier post, I am adding a Carerra oil cooler to my SC. I am also going to put a fan on it. Do I want a "puller" or a "pusher"? On the SC, without the benefit of air duct to the wheel well, I thought I wanted a "puller" to to work in concert with the air coming off the tire, i.e. air moving forward. But others have told me that I need a pusher - that is pushing the air from front to rear towards the tire. So which is it? Help! Thanks
chuck

I have a '85 911 and in front of the air-dam there is a notch. Hence the air flow should go from front to rear of the car. Where you put the fan is another question. I believe the factory has a Pusher type fan in front of the cooler. Then behind the cooler is a "rock-guard" a louvered sort of sheet metal all the way around the cooler.

Good luck

Nick

Chuck, I just added a fan to my front oil cooler. The fan is a pusher type. I mounted it on the side facing the front of the car.
Hope this helps.

Dennis.
