Color help needed!

My car is about to be painted this week. I'm still kind of split between Gulf Blue and a Lexus color called Twilight Amethyst Pearl. The lexus color will be a safe bet because its very close to black. As for the blue I feel risky and uncertain how it will turn out on my car which is a 930 turbo with the slantnose rear fender fins and box rockers but without the slantnose infront. Has anyone any opinion/objection to these colors? Thanks

The Gulf color would look good a the track with numbers on the doors..As for a street car or any car I would go with what "I" like and not give a rip about what anyone else thinks....do their own car

On your car, I would go with the blackish, pearl color. Gulf blue will provide so much contrast to all the ducts and black trim, that the car will start to look very "busy." I feel this is why the colors like Gulf Blue look so hot on the early cars, that have slightly cleaner lines, and the 993s which have the soft, clean lines as well. The mid year cars need a "harder" color to match their "harder" lines.

But, that is just me. 911s are one of the rare cars that look great in just about any color! Go with the one you like the best.

Yes i hoped they were built with lesser black trims but when i look at them in light colors like white or yellow they seem quite ok. Here's an idea of how my 930 could be in gulf blue:
