Oili Cooler Question

Well, turns out the new oil cooler I put in my '83SC last summer has gone south. Soooo...I'm going to swap it out for a used one (since the warranty had expired on the new one). I've got a cooler that I will have vacuum tested - does anyone know how much pressure the cooler is supposed to handle? And could I have something else wrong that raised the pressure to the point that it "blew" a leak in the new cooler?

Corrosion from salt on the roads has been the biggest killer of the front coolers since 1969, and was the major reason for going to the 'trombone' design in the first place! That said, I don't see how the scavenge circuit would ever see more than 100 to 120 psi, except on start-up, but test away if you must! Any soldered or furnace-brazed cooler should be able to handle 150 psi.
