Cost of Repairs ...
Wondering how this compares to what one might be expected to pay in the USA or UK...
Prices are in US Dollars MODEL DATE Porsche 911 3.2 CA 30-Aug-06 Mileage 40504 km 1. Replace sunroof lining (supplied by customer) ...Labour $153 2. Check rear engine cover sometime doesn't open. Found down stopper x 1 is broken. Replace FOC 3. Check A/C not cool, also when blower turn on seems to be q whistling sound from the front hood area. Found freon not enough, recharge freon and test no fault found. And found front condensor blower bearing noisy, remove clean up and lubricant Test OK... Labour $153 4. Replace rear (CV) drive shaft boots Labour $ 205 Total Labour $ 511 PARTS Down stopper $ 1.20 Freon $ 35.80 Rear drive shaft boots $135.80 Total $175.80 Labour $511.00 Grand Total $686.00 US$

not sure how long those type of repairs were meant to take, but my first question would be what is the hourly rate ?

Rate per hour
1200 Homg Kong dollars or 153 USD. (per hour)
The car went in on Aug 30th and is ready today. BTW they cleaned all the $ CV joints and repacked them with Grease and then replaced the boots. Problem here is in HK no-one has a garage- we all live in high rises with underground carparks just a car park space with about 6 inches either side - so cannot DIY repairs ...otherwise i would. :-)

I assume that is 1200 HK dollars or US153 per hour. If that is so then I would have though that the time they spent on it was reasonable.
