76 Fenders on a 72 911???

Does anyone know if fenders from a 1976 911 will fit on a 1972 car?

Thanks,
Jason

76 are not the right ones for a 72. You need 69-73 fenders for a 72. Goodluck.

p.s. Most of the 76 fender will actually bolt up to most of the 72 body but is missing some needed fender metal in the front.

kc carguy is right if you're talking about front fenders. if you were referring to rear quarterpanels then they will work, with the exception of the missing hole and hardware to accomodate the '72 oil tank in the RH side.

You can make a 76 fender work if you weld on the lower turn signal housing section from a 69-73 fender. I can cut this off of an extra passenger side fender. if you want it.

Ok thanks, I thought it would not fit. Some one had one for sale. Hay Jay, is the one you have in good shape?

It is amazingly rust free in the usual problem areas, but it has some minor dents and thick paint. It's definitely savable but needs to have the paint stripped off and a few dents worked out. It's yours for $100 if you can come pick it up in Riverside.
