Leather Seat Recovering

What is my best option to recover my front leather seats? I've seen lots of kits in vinyl, but nothing in leather.

TIA, John

Call Tony at Autobaun Interiors. His work has been discussed many times on this BB.

How hard is it to install the seat covers? There's an outfit on eBay who sells a leather/vinyl kit fairly cheap. I need to recover my stock seats to sell the car.

For just about half of what Danskman spent on his recover job I picked these sport seats up from Jason Cullen.

I guess you could say I'm happy

Get a quality kit from one of the above sources. They could be ebaying under an assumed name, it wouldn't hurt to ask. If you were the buyer and knew anything at all would you be impressed with a cheap set of covers? The point is, I'm sure another 100 dollars will pay for itself and maybe more.

I do home improvements for a living (mainly windows). It never ceases to amaze me how people economize when getting ready to sell. You think the buyer's don't notice? A well maintained home or car will sell faster every time, and for more money. If it needs fixing, fix it with the quality that you have become accustomed to for yourself and it will be noticed in a positive way. Subliminally, if by no other.

I installed a set of the Gahh covers on my seats. They ended up looking great, but the installation is not trivial. If you go that route you may check into getting someone to install them for you unless you like that sort of stuff.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I'm better off buying a set of black seats instead of recovering the ones I have.

hey heres the gig in arizona. $1700 bucks to have brand new corinthian leather, same material as porsche oem used, recovered for a pair at verdones. if your lucky you can find recaro pole positions for $599 each. brackets a $100 bucks each, sliders a $100 bucks each and then throw in your harnesses 5 pts around $150 from sparco each.

yeah its spendy, but i cant see anyone who tracks their car keeping the oem seats, unless you enjoy sliding out of your seat sideways at high "G"s in corners. or your into concours.

who's Jason Cullen? Is he a less fussy artist than the other car interior guys? I just love the "how to do business with us" webpage!

I'm Jason Cullen - I pride myself in assisting Porsche 911 Owners with the highest quality interior for their needs.

Everything is cut to factory pattern with zero corner cutting. I only buy certain grade leather with specific emphasis on texture, grain and weight. The best / most expensive German leather. The tannery I use perforates the leather to exact spects. We color match/grain match to exceed our customer’s expectations. Pure craftsmanship, only the best! Just 911 Leather interiors.

Fussy is an understatement. I take on a few select 911 owners / customers at a time. That’s it.

This is a passion and a privilege to associate with this quality.

I am fortunate to have earned the opportunity to make a Porsche 911 owner happy with his new or rejuvenate interior.

I can't assist everyone, I'm just a small time little operation that is always slammed!

I appreciate the words from Pelican - Thank you.
