Exhaust Support Straps
I just replaced my original exhaust (2 to 1) Dansk on my 1974 911 and just noticed the new Dansk does not have the gaps indentures (2) in the exhaust that would allow my original straps to be reused . . . so are the new exhaust straps Pelican sells long enough to cure this?
Also, is it not a good idea to run the engine without the straps until I can get a new pair? Yeah, I know too basic for all you experts but would like your feedback. Thanks! |

I believe that you CAN reuse the original muffler mounting straps ... all you need to do is use slightly longer M10 bolts, perhaps 60 mm or 70 mm.
