horn

hi im new here.
i have a 71 911T

my low tone horn broke (the plastic horn part) so i removed it. and left the high tone on.

the one horn worked fine, but one day i press and only hear faint click from somewhere under dash - like a relay.( no honk )

i check the fuses, im not sure if ive blown the one horn up by disconnecting the other.

any thoughts?

My first suggestion is to get a voltmeter/multimeter (analog or digital) and have an assistant operate the horn rim while you check to see if at least 11.5 Volts is present at the horn terminals. It is highly unlikely that removing the 'bad' horn caused the fuse to blow, but mud or muddy water splashed up into the vacant receptacle might have! I have seen relatively low-cost air-horn kits at K-Mart, Target, and Wal-Mart.
