When I started to pull of the chain housing covering I was expecting some oil to pour out of the case. But, to my surprise there was very little oil in there. The chain seems well lubricated and indicated no wear. Is this normal? Where does the oil come into the housing and where does it drain out to?
Thanks John 3.2 Carrera |

Have you drained the oil from the engine?
Which side did you remove? Onky one side, the right I think, will have some oil if the engine is drained.

Yes, all the oil is drained from the engine. But I am surprise that I don't that much oil in it. I would expect to see oil contained like in the valve cover. After I removed the valve cover there was plenty of oil dripping out. When I remove the chain cover there weren't any oil dripping in there. Hmmmmmm??
