What rubber to use between Ruf front bumper and hood/fenders?

I'm trying to figure out what seal to use between the Ruf style front bumper and the hood. Would like to keep the "smile" look. Any ideas?

I think it would be part number 964 505 143 01 Bumper Cover Seal.

930 fender welting is what's shown in the pic above - also what came on Yellowbird. I've got 2 extra rolls of unused 930 welting if you go that route. I'll let one go half price.

I use a 964 smile on my car. No mods necessary.

That car makes me smile! Hopefully the ruf look is the next thing I do to my car.

Thanx Guys, I think I'll use the 964 smile. I think on the red paint it will look good.

I'm about to install a ruf BTR bumper with a 964 smile on monday.
("I'm about to install," actually means that I'm driving it to the shop)

I can send you a pic when it's done if you want.

Here is my ruf BTR bumper installed with a 964 smile. It turned out just as good as I was hoping. The only small issue, which isn't really much of an issue is that the "trunk" is a little harder to close.

I replaced the rear bumper as well and the weight reduction from eliminating the impact bumpers has my car sitting up a substantial amount higher than it used to. It has raised about half an inch in the rear and probably close to 2 inches in the front.

I will also need to put some sort of insulation on the inside of the rear bumper as it's getting extremely hot.

Looks great!

I'm curious what effect the exhaust temp will have on the paint on your rear bumper. Some people use a hole saw, and bore a few holes directly behind the rear license plate to let out some heat. Then space the license plate 1/2" off the rear bumper.

That looks really nice! I'm glad to see someone else using the 964 smile - IMO it makes everything come together better than 930 welting.

I had a similar issue with the front trunk closing and to remedy this I simply moved the smile forward oh so slightly. Works great.

I also had to lower the front of my SC after doing the glass bumper. Luckily I measured before I removed the stock bumper, then simply adjusted down till I was back to where it was previously.

take heat proof insulation and wrap upper half of exhaust. use existing hose clamps to hold in place. also on the yellowbird the rear valance has cutouts to allow hot air to flow away. (betterbodiesusa.com) has a pic. your turbo will cook that bumper paint in no time. mines NOT a turbo and was going to cook my rear license plate let alone rear RUF fiberglass bumper!
