Call Jimmy Deering at Mobile Works East. He's based in Williams, California, which is between Sacramento and Chico. Others on this board have used him for mobile Porsche service, and rave about his work. (I don't have any personal experience with him.) If he'll go up to Chico, my guess is he'll take good care of you.

Didn't realize that MWE was based out of Williams. Seems like a good choice if he's willing to travel. Still, that's at least an hour out of Chico.
I'd give these guys a call: The Zeppelin Works 2288 Park Avenue, Chico, CA 95928 phone: (530) 893-0757 fax: (530) 893-0493 While I've never taken my car to him, I've talked to him on occasion and he seems like he knows his stuff. Most of the decent Porsches in this town can be seen in his shop if you drive by enough. He also races a 914 with a 3.2. Good luck, and PM me if you have any more questions. Jim |

Sorry Williams, MWE is back in Sacramento.
Quote:
He covers most of the Sacramento Valley He's now based 4 blocks from my home. Now that's convenient. I was going to rent him a room so long as he kept my Porsche in top shape.

Harvey Weidmann - the wheel guy -- is in Chico IIRC -- call and ask him who to see.
