No Spark On My 911 Turbo

I'm new to the forum but need some help. I have a 1988 911 turbo. This is a 34k mile car in perfect condition except it has no spark. As a low miler it sits all the time. I have charged the battery several times and decided to put a new in it. It started and ran for about 1 minute before it died. It has no spark and I am in need of a trouble shooting list to sort it out. Any one have any ideas how I should proceed?

Thanks in advance for your help.
