Wooden floorboard dimensions - 88 pass side

Could someone take the time to measure the dimensions of the wooden floorboard on the passenger side of an '84-'88 Carrera? Mine is missing and I would like to make a new one. I need the thickness of the plywood, the dimensions, and the location of the screw holes relative to some point so that I can mount it correctly. Thanks in advance!

I know you would like to make it but I have seen these reproduced in Plastic for not a whole lot of cash. If you want more info on obtaining them I could give them to you. As far as the dimensions, Sorry I had mine out a year ago and don't know if I will be in there any time soon. From memory, I think that board has a bend in it which might be hard to duplicate with plywood. Good Luck.

Bill:

Check Peformance Products, Vertex, Europroducts, etc. As 89 911, says, they are cheap, but my 1983 does NOT have any bends in it. They are flat, made of about 3/8" plywood, and painted black.

Since mine is currenlty "exposed", since I run Drivers' Ed without carpeting, I guess I could pull it and make a pattern for you. But there are some holes and curves that you would have to duplicate in order to fit in your specific application, and dimensions alone will not do the trick. A pattern is the best way to go.

If buying is not an option, let me know and I'll make and send you the pattern....Andras

I´ve just made mine, with plywood. Very easy if u have the patern. The drivers side is bent, so better buy one. But the passanger is flat and very straight to make one.

Ever since I stripped all of my carpet and removed the rotten floorboards a few months ago, I haven't made any effort yet to replace them. Should I have one put in? I'm on the verge of getting kicked out of my parent's house...I'd like to save some money so if someone could send me a pattern I appreciate it. Thanks!
