Could Targas be ordered with flared fenders from factory in 73 ?

"Ordered" or 'special-ordered'?
 Roger Penske had a 73 Targa with flares. My memory is little fuzzy on this but it was a car built for him at the factory for his personal road use to help him evaluate the 911's potential for his IROC series. It may have had an RSR/IROC motor as well.

well, not realyl sure what from the factory really means, however unless you were in the family or a high baller race car manager...... there was deifntly no box which you could "tick" for flares

The reason I ask is that there is a 73 T currently on ebay with flares. I now see it is "dealer installed flares", and that is a quite a difference
