Question Turbo Junkies: How good does this look?

I thought this deserved a post of it's own, because I'm curious what you other turbo guru's think about this GT series ball bearing unit

GT3040R:

Dual Ball Bearing "GT30/GT40R" Turbo assembly. T3 style inlet flange with 4 bolt T31 style exit. This turbo incorporates the same exact GT40 compressor wheel found in the popular GT35/40R, but runs the smaller 60mm w/84 trim turbine wheel from the GT30R. Appropriate for smaller engine where the GT35/40R feels too big, but the high amount of compressor flow is needed for the desired HP and boost levels. Large T04S style compressor housing with 4.00 inlet and 2.50" outlet. This turbo has a flow capacity of about 600HP.

Turbine
-Wheel: 60mm w/ 84 trim
-Housing: .63 ar, .82 ar, 1.06 ar
-Maps

Compressor
-Wheel: 82mm w/ 56 trim
-Housing: .70 ar
-Maps

Looks to me like this would provide the low end "snap your head back" type of acceleration and torque the GT30R would provide, but with the top end flow capabilities of the GT35R

I also notice it can be ordered with a 0.78 A/R, Divided T3 Exhaust housing with V-band

What's the advantage of having a split/divided housing?

Opinions please???

will the t3 flange be to restrictive for the displacement of the engine?? One of our customers went with the t3 t4 and it chokes out up higher unline my to4e which pulls all the way up and feels like it could pull to 8000 if I wanted, again we are dealing with low boost so keep that in mind

All the KKK's are T3 flanged, so I'm not sure if that point holds true. Even the K27-7200, HF, K27HF-S and HF2 use the T3 flanged turbine housings.

I think that's been configured for a B20VTEC. Guys have even tried on 1.8Ts when they're running to 7500rpm. GT3071R-WG with 0.82 T25 housing went 10.8/140Mph on a FWD 1.8T.

I dont believe the kkk are t3 flanges as they are of a different shape then the t3. But I do not have the big hp experience to back that all up

The KKK's have a euro flange, which is the same as the T3's

I think I'll just stick to the GT3076R (aka GT30R). It meets my requirements nicely. Flows up to 525HP and will spool very fast, especially with a split/divided turbine inlet to suit my headers

Perfect street turbo IMO.
