930 Engine Removal Advice
Does anyone have any advice or tips on the engine removal process for a 1983 930? I have removed and replaced the engine on my 1979 SC several times so I am familiar with the process on that car. I have Wayne's book (and several others) but I am wondering if there's any additional plumbing or special care I should be aware of?
Also, are there any sources of published information specific to a 930 rebuild? Thanks in advance, Duane Duclaux Richmond, VA

Other than intercooler and turbo oil return line, I think it would be very similar. I have removed and install 86' 930 motor with help from Waynes book, but never worked on SC, so take it for what it is.
I have not seen any books just for 930 rebuild but Wayne has Porsche engine rebuild book that will help you with rebuilding process.

I've done both more times than I care to remember. The key is the turbo needs some top end parts removed (intercooler and pipes). Other than that, it is a heavier assembly, so be aware!
Good Luck.
