What Happened to 5th gear??
The shifting on my 81 SC just got worse and worse and worse, and finally I had no 5th gear. I bought the bushings over a year ago, so I thought I would work on it today. I pulled off the tunnel cover and low and behold, the cone screw had backed out 3 to 4 turns. Tightened it up, went for a drive, 5th gear is back and easy to find. Check those screws guys.
Now I just have to find the hour or so it'll probably take to put that rubber boot back on. What a pain in the arse.
