how do I begin to find the histroy of my 911t, many of you list your cars pedigree from the factory IE: motor size, transmission, interior options, color. we want to take the car back to its original look if possible, we have fallen hopelessly in love this car just need more info

Search the forums. A few ways to do it. Check out PCA, you can get a certificate from them. Some people even have luck finding the old dealership and getting a copy from them (rare).

I wouldn't bother with getting a COA [certificate of authenticity] unless you have money to burn! The $135 could go towards building a reference library that should start with Paul Frere's Porsche 911 Story, and also include a Haynes manual. Ludvigsen's 3-volume set Excellence was Expected should also be on your bookshelf. Any number of good, large coffee table books that include good interior shots are available at the large book store chains: Borders, Barnes & Noble, Hastings, etc.
