RennAire for real???

So like it says, is this company a real company with hard assets?? or just another Internet front store buying from the mfg, marking up, selling direct to PP and drop shipping?

If real, where are they?

Yes, these guys...real or not real???

Yes Rennaire is real. I purchased a complete system a few months back from Ron at Rennaire and had awesome tech support during the install. He went way beyond the norm to make sure my system was working correctly when I had a problem. The problem turned out to be a mistake I made during the install and had nothing to do with the Rennaire system. Ron must have made a half dozen calls to go over the details of the installation with me before we discovered I hadn't properly secured the pigtail on the thermal expansion valve.

FYI Pelican now sells the Rennaire line of a/c products...real enough for me!

Right up the road from you in Canyon Lake. Surely you've been driving those roads north of S.A., some of the best in the state. The RS he's restoring is also real.

What do you expect, Carrier Corp.?

If so, do you think they would pay attention to a single retail customer with an old German car?

Canyon Lake, TX

Ron has a shop.

Real stuff comes from Rennaire; at least one component is unique. Porsche 911 specific packages are produced and sold.

There is after sales support.

The items I ordered and received were just fine and as specified down to last smallest o-ring.

Are you saying they manufacture those serpentine evaporators or Pro cooler driers?? Where? And have you been there?

That's funny but I can't answer yet as I didn't meet anyone... of course I didn't call in advance.

Sounds like you were looking for a retail store front?

OK so Ron from RennAire just called me not five minutes after I post this thread so before anybody gets their panties in a bunch I will meet him later this week.

Hmmmm. Ron has a huge shop there on his spread by the lake. From S.A., he would be on the north end of the lake, near Potter's Creek Park. If you take 281N to 306E about 10 miles, turn right following the signs to the park and it's down there (just call for specific directions after that).

Yes it was,
I was trying to get you to elaborate on the specific issue you were having.
If you saw their ad in Excellence, it actually states "order online or call". Even the website states "By appointment only - Call or email".
Just because thier isn't a massive warehouse with a large showroom, doesn't mean the business does not sell a viable product. I've spoken with Ron and he always has very good advice on the cooling of Porsche's.
Did you call him before you drove to the location?

Call Ron and go visit. I had a long talk with him about AC and moving to the area from Humidston at some point. Besides its a short and nice drive from San Antonio to Canyon Lake. Ron also restores old Porsches which would be fun to see.

I'm not questioning the product(s) strictly trying to find the manny fanny. Just spent three days emailing with an unnamed yahoo in Dallas... AC expert ....dealer(?) who could not grasp ganging condensers in parallel vs series.....or why you would do one vs the other....
My apps not stock so the engineering becomes relevant.

Ron is a class guy, period. Yes, he's not a manufacturer, but he stands behind what he sells and will help a guy out if needed. Email me if you want more info.
