which coil on a 69 2.0?

the site has a few coils and Im confused after looking through them. I figured a bosch replacement would be all I need (901-602-502-00-M14) but that says it wont work as a factory unit. And I assume the MSD blaster coil wont work either? What do I need to buy here to replace my factory coil?

If it has a conventional Kettering ignition, Bosch Blue coil. If it has a Bosch CDI, which is highly-recommended, then an MSD epoxy-filled High Vibration coil.

the pelican says, "Please note: The Bosch Blue Coil is not to be used as an OEM replacement. It will not work with your Bosch CD unit." How do I know if I have the kettering or bosch? Right now the coil is a bosch unit if that helps

If your car is a T model it came with the standard non CDI system and the good ol cheap bosch blue coil is correct. If its an E or S model it came with CDI and takes the expensive bosch cdi type unit. Does your car have a CDI box on the left inner wall of the engine room ? Of course your T (if thats what you have) may well have been upgraded to CDI too so....
If you dont have CDI you would benifit greatly to either upgrade to CDI or get a MSD 6a box. The MSD box will require the stardard coil.
You can post some pictures if you dont know what you have. Or just look at your coil and see if the distributer signal lead goes to the coil - or not. If it does its the standard system.
1969 is the model year that the CDI was introduced on the E and S but not the T. This is why you are confused.

the wire does go from the distributor to the coil, so I guess I must need the blue coil? So is that the part number I mentioned above - 901-602-502-00-M14? (it doesnt say blue coil, just bosch coil)
