scented Kumhos!
Maybe I'm the last person to have discovered this, but according to today's New York Times, last month Tire Rack started selling ($119 to $138) Kumho's new line of Ecsta DX tires, which emit the smell of...well, I guess you'd call it burning lavendar, when you make a smoky burnout.
What's next? The Ecsta DX/C5 (Chanel #5)? The Ecsta DX/B (Brut)? The Ecsta DX/F (fart)?

Some time ago a tire manufacture came out with a colored tread center which could be transfered to the pavement.
It may be an urban legend, but I heard that they pulled them off the market due to street gangs marking their territory with these tires (the territorial disputes were not settled amicabley). The scented jobbies would seem to be similar to lions, wolves & other animals doing the same thing....can street gangs be far behind? Never a dull moment, eh?

On the subject of odours... I wish someone would come out with a car air freshener that smells like 'new car'. One can only suffer so much fake pine scent!!
