Raising the dead begins
Close to Halloween this sounds good. 72 frankenporsche with 3.2 litre and webers, sitting for a few years. Tore into it this weekend a bit.
Got the carbs off and started to dissasemble and clean. They need to be rebuilt. Drained the fuel or what it becomes after sitting for so long. Tank will need to come out and be treated. Got the plugs out, mystery oil and hand crank. I'll put some more oil in tomorrow and give it another spin by hand and reinstall the plugs. Plan is to rebuild the carbs, clean the tank and see if we can get it running. Keeping my fingers crossed! Pans and rest of the body are in pretty good shape, not really much in the way of rust except the front pan and front top of the tank. Looks really good underneath. Thanks to Pelican for wisdom and my friend Gary for hands on help. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I bought one that was rebuilt by Chris's German in 2004 from a guy in Tacoma. I think Alex (Russian?) had sold his by the time I was looking into it.
