I live on the southside of Atlanta. Anyone in the area know of a good mechanic. Trustworthy, honest , reasonable and knowlegeable are attributes I am looking for.

Hi,

Go back to the forum page, look at the bottom right hand and find the search box. Search on Atlanta PPI, you'll get a list of threads related to finding shops in the Atlanta area.

Good luck.

Jay

Almost neighbors. We need to get together sometime. Right now the baby's up on jackstands getting new wheel bearings.

So far I havent had any issues with my car that I needed a Mech for. Just small stuff, wheel bearings brake lights stuff like that. But with 163K im sure ill need some help eventualy. Im kind of new to P-cars but I have restored 2 old Mustangs, and have been turning wrenches in the driveway for most of my life. So short of machine shop work I do all my own repairs.

I thought I'd sent an answer, sorry.

Rear brakes ( or maybe all ). I'm thinking just pads.

Oil leak. It drips occassionally. I'm getting under the car this week for a closer look

Headliners a little loose fitting

I bought this car in March with little doc. I'd like to find out what it has. Engine, tranny, clutch, etc.. The more I can document the better.

What do you charge? And references?

Sounds like some simple stuff. And you want to see just where the car stands.

I can charge by the hour ($20) or by the job. You can supply the parts (from our forum host) or I can. Cost more if I do. Advice is always free.

I can give you some references.
Some are for cars and some are red, white and blue commercial airliners.

Do a search of my screen name and see some of the issues I've addressed.

Cya,
