Startup after 8 weeks/winter storage

My car's been on blocks 8 weeks but may be able to be started this weekend. Any suggestions? I was going to turn the engine over a few revs by hand as in adjusting valves, then maybe yank the fuel pump fuse and DME relay and use the starter a bit to get some oil flowing.

When I put it to sleep October 1, I was going to pul the plugs and shoot some Storage Seal into the cylinders, turn it over a bit and replace the plugs. Any other thoughts? I plan to cover it with a car cover and leave it outside, I have no other options. what should I do for the interior?

2 months is not very long. I would just crank it a few times without letting it start and off you go. If you only cover two months of winter storage, the oil will remain where it needs to be. I would not bother with spraying stuff down the cylinders until you are talking 6 months +.

Ok.

Well, leaving it outside is a real bummer in ALASKA!!! You really should rent a storage unit or at least a covered parking spot.

The treatment of the cylinders will be a good idea, as you will see more condensation in outside storage than you do when parked in a garage. That said, you will want to throw a half a dozen pounds of dessicant into the interior, to keep it from getting a serious case of mildew. And buy the best car cover you can get.

After eight weeks, your 3.2 won't start for a few seconds anyway, until the fuel pressure builds. My car sits sometimes for that length of time, and I simply connect the battery, and turn the key.

It cranks for about five seconds, then fires right up.
