acid dipping versus spot fixing

did you do it, how much was it and would you do it again. Not a lot of rust but ya never know.

I did acid dipping to my '76 Carrera 3.0
The need was debatable, as the rust was not important. What made me do it is the assurance that hidden rust between double walls would be eradicated (lots ov cavity wax afterwards) and that all the insulation would be gone, as I didn't plan to put it back, except the underpinnings.
I don't know how your car stands, but this was lots of work, including the inevitable reconditioning of parts.
I will definitely do it again to that '73 RS sleeping in the barn that's next in the restoration line...
My $0.02, GeorgeK
