930 Dizzy doesn't fit 2.7S ???
 

Are the distributor shafts for N/A 911s more narrow than for the 930? I just tried to fit my 930 unit into a '77S case and it would not go. This is a new one on me.

Nossir,...all of these 2.4 litre & later distributors have the same 30mm shaft.

Now,.......some gears are different (CW & CCW) so they are not all interchangeable. :)

3.0 Turbo units (CW) will fit a 2.7 nicely. 3.3 Turbo ones turn CCW.

The dizzy is being used on a mule motor. See my "Evil 930tt" thread for info on what I am doing.

This is pretty odd. That dizzy simply would not slide into the hole in the case. I'll take a closer look this evening and see if there is something hanging it up.

Ah you're gonna love this. I got paint in the hole when I painted the case. Cleaned the area with carb cleaner and she went right in.
