Wayne's 101 projects says: On late-model cars, the horn pad simply snaps onto the wheel, and can be removed by pulling on it. Is an '87 a late model in this case? The picture in his book doesn't look like the wheel I have. I've removed the two plastic blanks in behind and feel like I'll break something if I pull to hard on the pad

remove the 2 plastic blanks behind the horn pad edges.....the grab each side and "pull", don't rip it like a gorrilla, just a quick firm tug.....then pop....it's off, unplug the horn wire and you're done.

Hey, remember this - "If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway."
![]() Just kidding. |
