Pics of 930 Slantnose Front Oil Cooler

I promised someone on the sites (Rennlist or Pelican) that I would post pitures of the 930 Slantnose front oil cooler when I got around to painting the spoiler. Well, a family of racoons accelerated that project! Nothing too serious; two broken fog lamp lenses and a cracked lip on the spoiler and entire family of coons gone.

Euro model 930- very COOL = indeed- same size as the original RSR and 935's

USA versions got the right rear fender scoop mounted one with angled fan below it- no where near as nice as the euro version

Mike,
This fiasco occurred the Saturday night after the Brian Redman challenge. I was driving north of RA, saw the shadows of the raccons crossing the road, spanning both lanes. Why they decided to cross the road with oncoming traffic from both directions......
All I heard was breaking glass, none of the usual "rump-rump" of tires going over the bodies. Has not been my year- - - - problems on both ends of the car.

the factory euro front valence was fiberglass and it had the signature porsche logo embossed on the inside in the resin- we had a client with one back in 83 and we repaired it quite frequently

I'm afraid the logo is gone.....to many cracks without laying new FG matts.

Pat,
I'll post the dimensions tomorrow. It's a 12 row cooler, though.

It appears that the cooler is mounted to the bumper--travels with it when hit? More pics for the curious, please!
Many thanks.

rockers are steel, you can still get the steel weld in fender ducts and the steel rockers from nrauto, thats where I got mine, I already had the fenders

Well, if the front bumper travels only half an inch. The cooler is secured by four bolts to the front bumper. As the photo shows, the cooler has very little space between it and the chassis.

The dimensions are approx. 25" wide x 6" by 3".

Actually, the ones that came with the car were stamped aluminum. I have since taken those off, stored 'em and put on the steel side rockers. The are a bit more rigid than the aluminum pieces at the expense of weight.
