POR-15
Ok, another off topic question but everyone was so nice to answer the one about silicone so here I go again...
Has anyone tried this product? What were the impressions/results? Thanks! |

I used the product some years ago on a rust spot and it lived upto its reputation. It worked really well and left me with a surface that could be painted without any fear of further rust.
Well worth buying. |

Bill:
I had used this on my wife's Mazda, when she scraped the left fender. I painted it on about four months after the scrape, and it turned black, which is the color of the car. I haven't bothered to repaint it, and it is still black, and no rust after 12 years. I believe that this is a chemical which changes ferrous oxide to an inert material, which doesn't seem to rust. I'll let the chemists tells us what it is and how it works, but it really does work. It can be painted, but you would have to do some smoothing to it, since it changes to the black only - it does not "bridge" and imprefections.......Andras |

I've used it extensively and can say it is the best inhibitor available. For $35 delivered, it will save you much heartache.
