Why no "Outlaw" "Ratrod" short hood 911's? Pics Anyone?

I came across this really great looking 356 outlaw/ratrod/racer and got thinking I have never seen a similar 911. Anyone?

Porsche Crest I guess I should have been more specific

I meant to say outlaw/rat rod short hoods. Anyone have a ratrod impact bumper car?

Porsche Crest Me too!

Love that old vintage racer look. I think that car was "created" some of the paint and "patina" was added.

Back when I was heavily involved in the "early" VW scene (mostly pre-1965 iron) I was always so envious of the guys that would/could just drive the effing things, rust and all, without being consumed with "ground-up" restorations and transforming their rides into something the wine and cheese snobs would be proud of! When you've owned a few early buses, you learn to live with (and love) rust!

As a reformed "concourse" guy

I say AMEN! To dirt, dings and rust.

I've been thinking about taking a 'mid-year' car, lowered ,flares, ducktail, painted primer gray and doing a "Von Dutch" style Martini pinstripe/paint scheme. Just in the idea phase right now, but who knows.. maybe someday.

A Rat Rod would be way more modded and stuff. Doesn't have to be as funky as this VW, but the general idea is there. Rat Rods are very cool.

with a short hood car, you start with a varying degree of disadvantage. They all weigh more than the early cars, and that reduces the 'rod' in any ratrod.
