Porsche seat got new life.

Hello,
As I promise to post the better pics of my seat conversion, so here they are
Originally, they were 1977 standard 911. the high back rest.
My project car is the 1970, 3.2, Viper green, RS conversion and I think the 77's style seat would look right in it.
So I had them cut off and here's the result.

Sorry, I didn't take any photo of the in between but I'll try
my best to describe it.

I spent some time searching for photos of the reclining seat. I went down to the upholstery place with as many photos and some sketches. I ask the guy if this idea were possible. He said. probably he could get as close to only 85%, because he didn't want to modify the inner metal frame.
He recommended me some material that were similar to the one used in that era.
The middle part is used in the old VW. and the flat vinyl is imported from somewhere.

The first week, the old leather was taken all out. the upholsterer began adding pieces of sponge on to the existing cushion, the rubber cement was used. On the 2nd week, the guy was trimming away the unwanted part with the razor blade.
He was trimming and turning the seat around to checked on the dimensions
and slowly, the new design was revealed.
Before the vinyl went in, we had the last check together if everything is acceptable.
The cost of material and label is $200.00.
