911 Suspension
Can sway bars be installed on a 1972 911TE? If so, where should I begin looking for them? Does Pelican have them?

The front bar is a relatively easy install. Sway-A-Way and Weltmeister have first-rate kits ... be sure to specify a new or first-time installation, rather than an upgrade!
Same sources for the rear bar, and same note, too, but the rear installation will require some precision MIG welding, so home installation may not be possible, or not recommended. ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |

Thanks Oh Great One! It will be a first time install for the front.
Another quick one for ya Warren....you know how you can adjust the ride height for the front suspension....can the same be done for the rear? Thanks a million! Tim |

In the front, there is a ride-height adjuster bolt, super simple in itself, but you may hose your alignment and corner balance if you do not lower/raise each side exactly even per your current (assumed good) settings. (Ask me how I know). But the adjustment is super easy.
To adjust the rear ride height however, you normally have to remove and re-index your torsion bars, unless your car has been fitted with aftermarket adjustable suspension parts. |
