k40 radar detector

I've owned my car for 4 months now, This is actually my first Porsche, I am very happy with the car and I have no regrets
of buying an expensive used car . I do realize that buying this car also also raise the chance of getting pulled over for speeding. A lot of you Porsche owners know what Im talking about, The car is made to go fast period. I've only owned the
car for a couple months and I have experienced numerous times someone with line up with me on a traffic lights rev their engine and then glance at me. OK they just want to use me to
test their cars, One of days with my luck I might see flashing red lights behind me. My car came with built in k40 radar detector but I dont think its working because I've never heard it go off. I need an advise for people that have knowledge about the k40, how to it works or how to turn it on. This is all I know I have couple of LEDs on my dash, I have a knob right next to my air vent and in middle postition it hast one click to the left and one click to the right, I found a unit by the engine compartment thats says three band k40. Im attaching photos and thanks in advance.

My car had a sensitivity and volume knob that turned the system on/off. I also had a city/highway adjustment. See center console below:

thanks for responding scooter, now I know that the knob I have on the car is for sure related to the k40 radar, Its the same as the one that you have on your car..My radar does not power on because I dont see the lights ever turn on and also there are no series of beep when I turn the ignition on. It could be just a fuse, Anyways
thanks once again scooter...
