Hi, I am new in this board and would like for someone to help me out with a fuel system problem.
My 930 turbo 1983 has a cis fuel problem, with the engine stopped, and the ignition switch is in the on position, I disconnect the safety switch (blue terminal with 2 contacts) and both fuel pumps will start running. The problem is that the fuel pressure will open all the injectors and flood the cylinders. This is not normal behavior, we have replaced the fuel distributor and checked the air flow sensor plate for adjustment and operation. Thanks, |

Do you hear the injector buzzing when you turn the key to the run, not start position?
Pressure in the system will only increase as the fuel plunger in the FD rises. If the plunger is at the rest level when you start up, you should not have any injectors flowing fuel to the cylinders. Did you us a CIS gauge to determine your cold control pressure and system pressure? A sticking plunger in the FD could be causing your problem Could it be a cold start valve issue?
