Pole Position first test drive

Installed one of the Recaros in Ginger over the weekend and took a 30 minute test drive. First, for a shell, this seat is very comfortable. I'm 6'0", 34 waist and it fits very well. A slightly larger ass could fit, but it may start getting tight. Most impressive was the position it forces you in to. It make you want to be closer to the wheel and sit more upright. I think driving position is probably perfect for aggressive driving. It holds in place much better than my stock seats and considerably better than the sports in my old SC. This may be the perfect seat if you can use a shell.

I just got done installing a Corbeau FX in my 86 911. I can say the same thing about driver position. It really puts you "up front" to the driving position. It makes for a very aggressive feeling when driving. I haven't got the belts in yet, but I'm sure it will add some very snug security to the whole feeling. I have the Recaro Sport seats now and they are great, but this is better.

Thanks Shaun - I believe that's what they call it.

Scott - thanks for the deal - I see what you mean!

They're at least as comfortable as the stock seats, in my opinion. For long drives, try rocking it back further, so your weight is better distributed from your knees all the way to your shoulder blades. Arm rests make the 8+ hour drives easier, too.
