Clymer Manuals

I'm just wondering if the clymer manual for the 911 was a good one or if the haynes manual would be just as good. It would be nicer to have the factory manuals but they are a little to expensive for me. ------------------ '76 911S '80 924 M471

I would also like to know if anyone has a clymer out there. I have had good luck with them before and have tried to find a local source to no avail... Argh! The sources that I have down here Don't carry Clymer anymore. Thanks for any info. regards, s

I have a Clymer manual from about 1980 for the 911, and compared to the Haynes manual, or the earlier Clymer '912 Handbook' ... it was a disgrace, but I haven't seen a recent one , so I don't know if they ever added to the rather sparse bit of info, or corrected the blatant errors in the tune-up and brakes section, for example. I would have to recommend looking at a copy at a local book store before ordering one online, for SURE! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa
