1973 Option group question

Hi guys, I'm quite new here, My name's George. I found 2 years ago a 1973 Carrera RS that had been sleeping in a barn for 11 years. I managed to buy it for cheap, and now it awaits a complete restoration. While researching the car's history, I found in its list of options the "group" C10. I need som help there. While every other option on the car has been decoded, no one could tell me what that C10 stands for. The car was a swiss delivery, and was built around December 10-12th, 1972. It's a touring model. Anyone in the know would be very welcome here. Happy motoring, GeorgeK

This is a hunch but it could be the interior option code. For my car it is AB.

Have no clue about '73 options, and have never seen any document listing them! But, that car would definitely be worth the trouble to write the factory for a history sheet, or what ever it is called ... ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa

Warren is right. Send away for the Cardex. This should identify every option issued to your car. In 73, however, options were also offered by the dealer. I beleive you need to make a copy of the registration proving ownership with a check for $30.00. I will look for the address and post it when I find it.

The C10 code does not refer to interior color. As far as I know, it designates a group of options offered as standard by the country importer. I couldn't find so far what is included in this group. I will try to put some pictures here when I get hold of a digitaliser. So the quest is still on. Happy motoring, GeorgeK

in international speak "C" is the designator for switzerland. the 10 could mean 10th order or whatever i think the only way to find out is to contact Porsche AG. for the cars pedigree. Pazz 79 SC Targa
