ride height suggestions
OK parts are arriving and assembly will hopefully commence soon. I am trying to figure out how high to set the car with all the changes planned. So some info..
85' Cab about 3000 fully loaded with fuel and driver. Mods Koni sport yellows all around 22-30 solid torsion bars neatrix bushings rear monoballs stock sways 245 45 16 rear tires (tires are about 1.5" less dia than stock) 225 50 16 front tires (R-compound) I also run 225 45 15 rear (for autocross) 205 50 15 front bolt in roll bar (so maybe a little stiffer) Car was at 25" on left and 25.5 on right before mods. I don't think it was corner balanced well. Most appear to have their cars at about 25" but with the torsions and the smaller tire size shoud I go lower. I was thinks maybe 23.5 rear and 24 front. This is measured from groung to lip of fender. Car is driven occasionally on the street but has become mostly a track car.

245/45 & 225/50 tires are the correct diameter for stock. The 15" setup you quote seems too small, but I assume you run those to keep revs up at autocross. I would suggest that it will be undesirable to try to find a ride height/suspension setup that is a compromise intended to work for both autocross and the street or track. I would consider the adjustable spring plates from Weltmeister so you can make ride height changes quickly. Set up the suspension for the autocross, and raise the car slightly when you want to drive it on the street.

Ah.. I re-ran the tire calculator and you are correct the 16s match the original 15 pretty well. I must have typed something in wrong. The low profile 15s are 2 inches shorter. The adjustable plates are in the future and would help with the quick adjusts. Darn money keeps getting in the way.
At the current 25" it seems to be high I think I try for a bit lower maybe 24.5r and 25f and see how it looks. An inch higher than I previously thought. I really want those adjustable plates.

My daily driver is set to 24.75"rear/25.25"front, and I needed to roll the front fender slightly, even with a 205/55 tire. My track car is set to 24rear/24.5front with 225/50's & 245/45's, and rolled fenders. The pictures in my links were taken before I lowered the track car, but the daily driver is accurate.

Thanks for the input. The car on the left in your photos looks like a good height. The only wheel I am concerned with rubbing is the front left. I really hope the big torsions will help. I guess I will shoot for something in the neighborhood of 24.5 to 25 and see how it looks and works. Sure hope the rest of the parts come tomorrow (Friday). The wheel bearings arrived and are installed. I left off the rear shields and it just seems like I have forgotten something. I hope not cause the left hub is in and the right one goes in tomorrow. Yes I did put the brake hardware on. Just look funny with no shield.
