Disconnected altitude sensor-running rich?

I drive almost all miles between 500 and 900 feet above sea level. I don't have the altitude sensor under the seat hooked up to the Motronic system. Will this cause me to run rich? lean? The car usually runs strong (not withstanding my other 2 posts this morning-wandering idle and running rich) I am going to do one major remedy and change or re connect my 02 sensor. What does the altitude sensor due to performance/running rich/engine health?

Any opinions?

OK, here goes. The altitude sensor is nothing more than a switch that makes contact when you reach 2600' and leans the mixture ever so slightly that you would never notice any differnce in performance.

Cheers,

Joe
