ambient air valve

Since I bought my car it has been missing the hose that runs from the throttle body to the ambient air valve. On close inspection, it looks like the nipple on the top of the valve has been broken off. When I checked the availability of the part the picture shows no top nipple at all, and in fact, only shows two hoses coming into the valve #930-207-227-02, where the parts cd lists the same part as 930-207-227-00 and has three hoses. Before buying I need to know which is correct for an 84 Carrera.

How much effect does lacking this hose here in Florida have on the performance?

Thanks,
