911SC-L. Bronze Metallic???

http://www.ceio.com/911/

Trying to look at this car next week. I've done searches for "Light Bronze Metallic" but get different colors than what this car is labeled.

Can anyone tell me the paint code and post their own pics of the same shade?

Thanks!

Don't know the exact color, but it sure does look nice. One of these days I will buy a coupe.

Looks more like Rosewood to me.

Ah Hah!!!!!!!

I've been trying to tell you guys forever that my car color is awesome, but I don't have good pics to illustrate this. I think this car is the color of mine. Not Rosewood, which is close. Not Platinum Metallic, which is a bit lighter. The color is called "Quartz Grey Metallic" or "Smoky Quartz Metallic." The German is "Rauschquartz Metallic."

Terrific color.

That is one clean looking SC. Hell for that price I 'll buy it

...don't worry I am in Belgium.

I have an SC with Zinc Metallic yours is a bit darker. My paint code is 956. I believe yours will be 055 or 655 (you will see that they have the same naming !?). Anyway check out the codes. You should be able to find the paint code on the left fender inside trunk behind carpet. AT least on the RoW.

But please let me point out a number of issues (ignore me if you want as I am RoW knowledgeable only, but it strikes me odd so you might want to check.

The Car is a 1983 (last months of the SC) but it only has 180hp? Weird. Should be 204.
The fog lights are not inserted in the Carrera style bumper common on 83 (I've got one). This could mean that it is no factory option, other then that very nice SC!

Go to the bank.

Michel

Just to clear up some inaccuracies and to restate my position:

204 is the hp level of a Euro SC. USA models were specified at 180 hp.

The fog lights on a 1983 USA 911SC were indeed located forward of the valence. Not inserted in the valence like the next model year, Carrera.

I am pretty darned sure the car in these pictures is Smoky Quarts Metallic. Pretty darned sure. It was a fairly popular color, but available as a standard factory color only very briefly. I believe that 1983 was one of the few years this color was offered as standard. In fact, I believe that the factory Porsche Brochure featured a 930 on the cover, and that car was painted this color. It is a wonderful color. It will totally grow on you.

I can not believe Porsche would have 2 separate engines one for RoW and one fir USA. SO the 180 HP must only be in the paperwork, but the engine would be delivering 204, right? Or have they really kept the actual HP for USA lower then RoW. Weird.
