What did you give for it? Looks easily fixed...

rrsrsr 10-01-2006 06:29 PM

If this is the car from the SFBay Area near hwy 280 the rims are cast Fuchs copies, not genuine.

jester911 10-02-2006 04:24 AM

The easiest way to tell is remove a wheel and look for the et and # stamped inside the wheel. Also there is a logo stamped with the fox head if I remember correctly.

rattlsnak 10-02-2006 05:41 PM

Thats a good price for that. It wont take much to fix it properly from the pictures.

jkarolyi 10-02-2006 11:24 PM

Is that an '85 or '86? If the sport seats are dark blue and in nice shape, I'd like first dibs on buying them if you decide to sell.

Sonic dB 12-29-2006 12:05 PM

For that price, this is at the very least a great investment.

how is a totaled '77 for $3700 and the need to spend twice the budgetted alotment for frame straightening a "great investment"?

I 've got NO problem with Hal doing this; I own a MIddie too and I am glad to see anyone save one from the crusher....but a "great deal"? Am I missing something here?

dtw 12-29-2006 02:03 PM

It is a labor of love, Hal - cheers to you for saving another one.

Pele911 12-29-2006 02:52 PM

Sounds like are great save of a middie. Make it a driver and spend as little as necessary. Who cares about "investment potential", who's project has made them rich?
keep us posted

randywebb 12-29-2006 02:54 PM

well, for $4,500 he now has what? - a roller maybe?

that's not a bad deal if that's what the end result was.

dtw 12-29-2006 03:01 PM

Looks like a complete car Randy - not a roller - Hal?

If that's correct as I understand, I think it is a super deal, esp. if it does not need a $10k paint job.

crashmy911 12-29-2006 03:30 PM

Looks like it needs paint how is the interior. Maybe a track car!

Dan in Pasadena 12-29-2006 03:59 PM

Hal, Completely agree on saving Middies. There are so many of them that have been modified that an original numbers-matching 2.7 without flares may actually someday be worth a little something just based on rarity....guess we'll see.

Good for you, keep us posted!

azasadny 12-29-2006 05:17 PM
