Anyone have a car lift? Pictures of them?...

I'm going to take the plunge and finally get mine this month, probably a Pro Park 7, seeing the main reason to get this is so I can park two cars in my one car garage (14 foot ceilings, stupid real estate development).

Just wondering what the opinions are and if you have any issues. Thx

I have been told that there is a difference between a storage lift and a plain old lift for working under you car. You might want to check on it. Thanks and good luck. I have noticed the prices seem OK but the shipping will knock you naked. YMMV

I have the Eagle, love it. This subject has been 'beaten' to death in the last few years. Search and ye shall find pics.

I've done everything from suspension work & brake changes to swapping engines with the 'storage' lift. Some jobs are actually easier, because you have a work surface and places to jack & support from.

Here's Mine

Here is my two post lift FWIW. Not sure if you are considering this route or not. I store my boat on it full time. I wouldn't store a car on it. Four post for that.

yeah, i'm doing a four post just for a storage lift. my garage is too narrow to do brake work, pretty much could only do exhaust work.

shipping is included in one deal i've found, so I might take them up on that. otherwise, i'll drive up to the place (about 100 miles away) and drive it back myself.

I am no expert, but I did look at four posters for a while before settleing on the two post. As far as the four post lifts go, there are definitely some design variances that I would consider if it were my choice. I liked Backyard buddy's design, but it's a lot of $$. Their website has a video comparing two design types. Granted it's their sales pitch, but I think there is a fair amount of good info on it. Just something to consider. I don't have one to give you my experience on.

As you can see I have the 356 under the 930. This thing works because you back it in and it has a sliding block that goes directly under the tranny. I've had this thing probably 10 years and it is foolproof.

Seems downright unhandy to store things on a lift. Much better to use them for dropping engines and working under the car.

um, I'm not hanging my car. My garage is only 109" wide, so parking one car over the other is the only choice. $2,800 delivered is about $700 more than the Pro Park, and they all seem to do the same thing, but I'll check that one out.

Well you drive a Porsche when you could drive a lot of other cars for less.......;-)

BYBuddy for $2800! I thought they were way more than that. All the more reason to get one. Go check out their design. I definitely think you'll see some improvements compared to the Pro Park. For the extra $700, I would consider that for sure. JMO

Unclebilly, think you may be stressing the roof framing a little bit? You may want to take it down before it snows.
