Angry Retrimming the rollbar lining

Hi All,
I have a 1977 911 targa 2.7 which is just finishing a rebuild from metal. I have re-installed all my carpeting and retrimmed the surounds on the windscreen, front of the Targa roll-bar and the door posts, , BUT . . . I am having some difficulty with the lining of the rollbar. I have cut it on the cross like the original, but can not get even close to smoothing the wrinkles on the bends. Has anyone re-trimmed this bit?
Any help would be appreciated.
Ciao 4 nao,
Dino (from Down Under)

Found out how to from my friendly trimmer, Vic. (1) Glue the vinyl in the centre to fix it in place. (2) Then smooth out the vinyl to each end and glue it to the ends. (3) Glue from the centre to each end. (4) At the bends, using a heat gun, heat the vinyl (take care not to melt) and stretch it over the the bend and glue it in place.
Sounds simple, and it is, BUT it needs care and patience. I finished witha couple of minor ripples, but an aceptable job.
Hope this is of use to someone.
Ciao 4 nao,
OzD.
