930 trailing arms

What is the easiest way to identify 930 trailing arms?

By their size and hub widths,...:)

Any measurements?

Steve's right. The 930 trailing arms look like they are on steroids. Much beefier and the arm tubing almost has a square look to it.

I guess as far as measurements, you could look at the holes for the rear caliper spacing. Figure 74-89 trailing arms have a 3" spacing while the turbo arms have 3.5". The turbo arms also allow the hub to sit out AFAIK remember 1" more than the standard ones. Of course that might be a bit harder to measure since you would need a right angle.

Hope this helps a bit.

Joe:

They are easy to spot simply by observing the cast lugs for the brake caliper mounts that lies BEHIND the axle centerline, instead of in front, like the 911 ones.

Ahh, thanks guys. Steve, I had forgotten that!
