1976 911 S

I have a 1974 that has had an engine transplpant the engine number is 6561043 which shows to be a 911 S engine the CIS system is off the 1974 engine and seems not to have alot of the stuff like anything for cold starts no AAV etc. What is the difference between the S and regular engine? I know the HP is more but the valves etc seem to be same size
