Please help URGENT!! 1989 3.2 Carrera

Hi,

Please can you help a newbie, im trying to service my car (first timer) please can someone let me know the amount of oil i should be putting in in litres?

Please help guys!

Approx. 10 litres (oil change). Change oil, let it run and check oil level again.

Exactly as much as you take out.

Buy enough to cover what the manual says (~10 litres), drain, measure it, replace.


EDIT:

Bell's right, too damn early.

Forgot to add to make sure you check and top off as the manual instructs after you've refilled - on a flat level surface, engine running, at operating temperature.

Put in a conservative amount, then start the motor and WAIT UNTIL IT IS WARM. Then continue to add oil, checking the DIPSTICK. Do not trust the gauge until you have done it a few times and have established the gauge's accuracy.

a litre is 1.25 quarts, right? 10 qts. with a filter gets the level to half way between the dipstick marks when hot. so 10 litres would be overfilled somewhat.

1 liter= 1.0556 qts
