Please help URGENT!! 1989 3.2 Carrera
Hi,
Please can you help a newbie, im trying to service my car (first timer) please can someone let me know the amount of oil i should be putting in in litres? Please help guys! Thanks in advance Terry |

Approx. 10 litres (oil change). Change oil, let it run and check oil level again.

Exactly as much as you take out.
Buy enough to cover what the manual says (~10 litres), drain, measure it, replace. EDIT: Bell's right, too damn early. Forgot to add to make sure you check and top off as the manual instructs after you've refilled - on a flat level surface, engine running, at operating temperature.

Put in a conservative amount, then start the motor and WAIT UNTIL IT IS WARM. Then continue to add oil, checking the DIPSTICK. Do not trust the gauge until you have done it a few times and have established the gauge's accuracy.

a litre is 1.25 quarts, right? 10 qts. with a filter gets the level to half way between the dipstick marks when hot. so 10 litres would be overfilled somewhat.
