Introducing new member
Hello,
I have been lurking off to the side for a while now but now that I have returned from the one year vacation that my Uncle Sam sent me on I think I can start contributing. Hopefully I will be able to provide something other than comic relief, but if not, then I guess that 's just the way the ball bounces... I bought my car a little over a year ago but almost immediately left and am only now able to start learning and enjoying my "new" car. I just wanted to say thanks for the site and, for what it's worth, give it my thumbs up. As I am in the learning phase I would like to know what references besides Wayne's book y'all have found most useful. BTW, thanks for signing the book Wayne. That is a nice touch. I am trying to upload a picture of my car, but sometimes the technical stuff escapes me for a while. At least I can conduct an infantry raid like no-one else. Anyhow, great site and keep it up. Beautiful car, thanks for the nice pictures.
I have Wayne's book, the factory manuals, and a Bentley manual. I use Wayne's and the Bentley's the most, since they're in the garage. I keep the $$$ factory manuals in the house. Here's the Bentley's: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1160425022.jpg |

Welcome & thanks for serving. I once had a lady comment to me that black cars with tinted windows were sexy. I think your car fits that description.

Very nice looking 965. Thanks for serving and welcome to the board! :D
|
Awesome Turbo! Glad that vacation went well. Good to have you here!
|
Thanks for the reply's. It took a while to get back because Uncle keeps me busy. I had the chance to get out today and tear down A9 for a while, and the p-fever is getting worse everyday
|
Beautiful car! I know there are alot more 'desirable' cars out there, but for some reason, this is my favorite. Of course, being a RUF model doesn't hurt it a bit! Any more pics?

Dude sweet ride!!! Careful on the Autobahn!!! Out of curiosity, how fast have you had it ??
|
Freakin SWEET! Need more pics!

Ya know I have never felt as safe on the highway as I have here and even the slowest cars on the Bahn here are doing at least 140k. There are so many laws here governing driving and a drivers license in Germany literally costs German nationals thousands of Euros, and they havs to take about three years of lessons, so they are a bit better at it then we are in the States.
As far as fast, I normally travel at about 180-200k, but have had it up to 260. I was doing about 220k when that grandmother passed me and the ferrari 512. |
This is very true, I"ve driven it alot .. That run between Munich and Nurnberg can get crazy though..
