Nicasil or alusil?

I have a couple of sets of 2.7 cylinders, and I want to know how to tell if they are nicasil or alusil? Both sets are in excellent condition according to the numbers after having them checked. One set is a set of KobenSchmidt's # on the cylinders are 854/1B.I am sure that these are alusil(I think?).The other set is a set of Mahles #90ZN2W6.
And can you just change rings in a set of alusils,or are they a one time deal(this question is for a third set of KS that have not been mic'd yet)

Use a good magnet on the bore of the cylinder. Nikasil's are slightly magnetic.
