im putting my rebuilt engine back to together and im kinda confused on the case ground to alternator...was told it grounded to the fan housing but the ground end isnt large enough for the fan housing bolts....could it have been together with the other brown wires on the back of the alternator marking D- ??

The large brown wire is grounded to the case just past the alternator.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1160528840.jpg

A930 thanks for your response....my other question now is the end of the wire can not go to the case b/c it wont fit around the bolt its too big, but it will go around the brown wires connected to the back of the alternator...u think it can be jumped along with these?? i mean they are ground right??

The brown wires are too small to carry the current from a 80/90 amp alternator.
Run the ground strap from the alternator frame to the case.
